Manual lymph drainage is a very special type of massage designed to stimulate the lymphatic system. The hand movements and sequences are adapted for each person.
The session follows a particular sequence, using a series of massage techniques including stretching, compressing, gliding and cupping motions. This stimulates the lymphatic vessels which carry substances vital to the defence of the body and removed waste products. The method makes the lymph fluid move more easily through the nodes and tissues, making sure the fluid doesn’t get trapped anywhere.
Treatment can be localised to a specific area. If you are suffering from tired feet or water retention, manual lymphatic massage drainage during pregnancy can be helpful.
